Gonryun - a new game mode in Ragnarok Arena

With this new update comes a new game mode; Gonryun. This dungeon offers varying levels of difficulty for all adventurers who seek a new challenge!

Gonryun refreshes at 0500hrs (GMT +8) every 2 days. The number of floors cleared will reset after every refresh.

1. Players must have at least 5 different monsters to enter battle, and they cannot be changed once the fight has begun. Defeated monsters will be withdrawn from the field. A battle is over once every round is cleared or when all monsters on the team are incapable of fighting.


2.“Hero aid” can be used to provide support against the current floor’s enemies. Each hero can provide a 1-time assist and is then withdrawn for the remainder of the battle regardless of the match outcome.

3. Each battle victory will only produce one random reward of either a buff in the form of a  blessing or herbal medicine.

4. Upon winning a battle, the Gonryun Travelling Merchant will appear where players can choose to view purchasable items from the Gonryun Travelling Merchant page.


5. Gonryun is divided into 6 difficulties, namely, the [Realm of First Steps], [Realm of Constancy], [Realm of Gradual Improvement], [Realm of Tribulations], [Realm of Suffering], and [Realm of Purgatory]. 

  1. There are 100 levels in each difficulty, and a save point will be created after clearing level 50/100.
  2. When players enter the Realm again, this level will be their spawn point and there will be no enemies at it.

6. When entering Gonryun after each refresh, the save point will be cleared of enemies, and players will begin battle on the next level from that save point.

7. In Gonryun, the power of the elements has been slightly changed:

  1. Water, fire, earth, and wind have become stronger, except for restrained units, to whom an additional 30% damage will be dealt, and where damage dealt by restrained units will be reduced by 30%.
  2. In addition to dealing an extra 30% damage to restrained units, the Holy and Shadow elements also possess a 30% damage reduction when taking damage from Water, Fire, Earth and Wind units.
  3. Neutral element units will deal an additional 30% damage to non-Neutral element units and have their damage taken reduced by 30%.
